Watercolor Workshop with Jeanne Beutler at Bluffton Public Library

Watercolor Workshop on March 21 at 5:30 p.m. at Bluffton Public Library.
rtist Jeanne Beutler will be leading this program. Participants will create their own painting and receive a mat frame with which to finish it.  Please register for this program by March 14! Program cost is $10, payable at the door. Cash only please.

Author visit - Tom Lambert come to the library March 10

BPL will host an Author Visit with Tom Lambert, author of Living with Earl, on March 10 at 6:30 p.m. In Living with Earl, Tom receives a visitor who seems to transcend time, logic, and even death. This visitor claims to be Mark Twain, and does so convincingly.  The times host and visitor share are both humorous and thought provoking, and their bond and similarities unveil with every passing day.

MMH Easter egg hunt March 19

Mennonite Memorial Home and McDonald's 11th Easter egg hunt for youth is at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at the MMH, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton

In addition the MMH Service Group will hold a bake sale in the Home lobby from 9 a.m. to noon.

Swiss Society spring meeting March 13 at Maple Crest

Swiss Community Historical Society's spring meeting features recollections by persons who lived at one time or another in the Swiss homestead.

Also known as the Schumacher house, the homestead is on Bixel Road mid-way between Bluffton and Pandora.

The program is at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 13, in the Maple Crest Patio Room, 700 Maple Crest Court, Bluffton.

The Swiss homestead was built in 1843. The society has restored it to its original condition. In 2006 it discontinued the practice of having resident caretakers.

The program is open to the public.
