Funeral service for Stan Schneck, Pandora community leader, Wednesday

Stanley W. Schneck, 68, of Pandora, died at 7:53 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 10, 1946 in Bluffton to Clarence and Helen (Burkhalter) Schneck and married Shirley Wingate Feb. 7, 1981.

Pandora UMC ice cream social July 26

Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora, will hold an ice cream social from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 26, in the fellowship hall.

This event is being hosted by Cub Scout Pack 3226. Menu consists of your choice of sloppy joe, hot dog, or chicken sandwich, plus cole slaw, baked beans, and / or chicken & noodles. Also, there will be lots of homemade pies and Dietsch Brothers ice cream.

Antique appraiser, Anne Stratton, will share her antique knowledge three times this month in the Bluffton area.

Video camera catches two guys in the act of breaking into Ada Pepsi machine

It's not a video of a deer jumping into Luke's Bar and Grill.

But, it is a pretty interesting video of two guys breaking into a Pepsi machine in a Main Street Ada laundromat. 

Early Monday morning the video camera at the Ada laundromat caught two people breaking into the machine. The outside camera also photographed the vehicle.

BFR invites girls to be "princess for a day" on July 18

Hey, girls, want to be a princess for a day?

Princess for a Day is a fun event for girls entering Kindergarten through third grade Saturday, July 18, at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

The day is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It includes lots of fun and lunch. Registration deadline is Wednesday, July 15.

Cost per participant is $22 for members; $38 for non-members. Call BFR for details: 419-358-4150.
