Five-session soccer goalie clinic offered by BFR

A five-session soccer goalie clinic takes place at Bluffton Family Recreation this winter, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.
 
Instructed by T.J. Routson, clinic sessions are held Mondays from Feb. 29 to March 28. The clinic is open to soccer players ages 12 and up. BFR is located at 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.
 
Registration is $50 per person.  Contact BFR at 419-358-4150 or go online at www.bfronline.net to register.

BFR Keeping Active 2016 continues its free offerings until the end of February.

Here's the list of free options for the remainer this week:

Tai chi classes continue with open enrollment Thursday mornings

Bluffton Family Recreation continues its classes in Tai Chi. Classes are held at 9 a.m. on Thursdays and have an open enrollment, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Classes offer ways for participants to reduce stress, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions.

Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. It helps participants with relaxation, meditation, stress-relief and inner peace.

U6 spring soccer registration underway at BFR

Bluffton Family Recreation announces that registration is underway for spring U6 soccer.
 
Play takes place from April 4 to May 5 at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.
Registration ends on March 30.
 
Cost per player is $50 for BFR members and $60 for non-members. Contact BFR at 419-358-4150 or register online at www.bfronline.net

NFL flag football registration underway at BFR

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting registrations for spring flag football.  Games are available for co-ed youth ages 7 to 8 and 9 to 11.
 
Games are scheduled for Saturdays from March 28 through May 7. The cost is $50 for BFR members and $60 for non-members. Registration deadline is March 14.
 
Registration is open to players and coaches. Call BFR at 419-358-4150 or [email protected] for details on registering. Each registered player receives a flag and an NLF jersey.

Two youth basketball tournaments at BFR this winter

Two youth basketball tournaments are slated at Bluffton Family Recreation this winter, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

A fourth grade girls’ tournament is Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27-28. It will involve 10 teams and three games are guaranteed to each team. Games will be at BFR. Cost is $125 per team.

A fourth grade boys’ tournament is Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6 It is a double-elimination tournament with a limit of six teams. Games will be at BFR. Cost is $125 per team.
