Library offers one-on-one tech tutoring sessions

Bluffton Public Library offers free one-on-one tech tutoring sessions on Wednesdays by appointment.

These sessions happen every other month and cover the basics of navigating laptops, PCs, smart phones, tablets, Microsoft Office, or obtaining eBooks free through the Ohio Digital Library by way of the Overdrive app.

And, winter storytime reigstration now in process

Registration for Winter Storytime at the Bluffton Public Library opens Jan. 3. You may register via phone (419-358-5016), or email ([email protected]), or at the front desk.

Space is limited to 18 children per session. This program is for Preschool Children (ages 3 to 5), and occurs on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. or Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Bluffton Public Library board organizational meeting Jan. 3

The Board of Trustees of Bluffton Public Library will hold its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers, set the 2017 meeting schedule and approve temporary authorizations for 2017, according to Jessica Hermiller, library director.

Santa comes to town on Tuesday with a stop at the public library

...and Bluffton fire fighters will read holiday stories to youth...don't forget that there are also refreshments

Santa Claus is coming to town on Tuesday.

He'll arrive in a large Bluffton fire truck and will meet youth of all ages at the Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., according to Jessica Hermiller, library administrator.

Explaining why Santa arrives on a fire truck instead of a sleigh, Hermiller told the Icon, "Santa's sleigh is in the shop and the Bluffton Fire Department is helping him out. Join us Tuesday, at 6 p.m, in the Youth Services Room to kick off the program with holiday stories read by firefighters."
