The Idi-Odyssey on Cory-Rawson HS stage March 22-23

The cast

Cory-Rawson High School will present "The Idi-Odyssey," by Burton Bumgarner, at 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday, March 22 and 23, in the school auditorium.

The play is called "an enjoyable spoof of 'The Odyssey,' which will delight young and old.

With a cast of over 35 students the action never stops. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available in advance at the superintendent's office or at the door the night of the performances.

Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera, host to March 8 blood drive

An American Red Cross blood drive is slated for Jenera on March 8. The drive takes place from 1 to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran School, 105 Allen St.

"The Lorax" shown at Shannon March 2-8

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "The Lorax" (PG) will be premiering in 2D and 3D at the theatre from March 2 to 8.

Show times follow:

2D - Every evening at 7 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 PM.

3D - Every evening at 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4 PM.

Centre hosts murder mystery dinner theater "Pandora's Box"

The Centre, 601 N. Main St., will host its annual spring murder mystery dinner - this year titled "Pandora's Box," at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 30, according to Brenda Gaines. This is the troupe's 11th performance at The Centre.

Hosted by Mr. E Murder Productions, "Pandora's Box" is a mystery based upon the reading of a will for a soon-to-be-dead Mortimer Lear. The heirs of Mr. Lear gather at the request of the man, who has lived as a recluse for decades.

Findlay native Joshua Brodbeck performs organ recital at First Presbyterian, Findlay, March 4

The First Presbyterian Church, Findlay, 32nd Concert Series will feature a performance by Findlay native and organist, Joshua Brodbeck on Sunday, March 4. The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the church's sanctuary, 2330 S. Main St. in Findlay. The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

Brodbeck began his concert career in Slovenia, Europe, at the age of 12. Since then, he has given many concerts throughout the United States. He has studied at Capital University and The Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University.

SHANNON Service Club garage sale and chicken barbecue this weekend

It's another certain sign of spring - the SHANNON Service Club's community garage sale and chicken barbecue take place at the end of this month.

Garage sale Feb. 24-25
The commuity garage sale is Friday, Saturday, Feb 24-25. It's the ninth annual sale. Hour are Friday, Feb. 24, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The event is at The Centre, 601 N. Main Street. Parking is free and admission is just $1. Based upon previous events, the sale traditionally attracts from 30 to 35 vendors.
