Durand Dudley funeral service May 6

Durand S. Dudley, 89 of Bluffton, died May 4, 2015, at Willow Ridge, Bluffton. 

A memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday May 6, at Willow Ridge - Frieda House, 103 Willow Ridge Drive, Bluffton. 

Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Mary Lou Blosser 1933-2015

Mary Lou Blosser, 81, died May 4, 2015, at 2:57 a.m. at  Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  She was born Aug. 29, 1933, in Findlay. She was raised by the late Edgar and Maude (Pore) Marquart. On June 15, 1952 she married Marlin Blosser who preceded her in death on March 18, 2001.

Mary Lou was a homemaker.  Shewas a graduate of Arlington High School.

Generous Living Seminar Tuesday at town hall

A free seminar offered to anyone interested in learning more about ways to support one’s church, charity or other non-profit organization.

Generous Living: Tools for Giving, will take place from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at the Bluffton town hall, third floor.

The presenters will be Vyron Schmidt, Charitable Services Advisor with Everence Financial of Goshen, Ind., and Scott Basinger, attorney from Bluffton and Pandora. Schmidt and Basinger will talk about a variety of planned giving opportunities that provide tax advantages to donors as well as maximize a donor’s gift.

Meet the prom king and queen

Bluffton High School's 2015 prom was April 25. Makayla Smith, daughter of Larry and Heidi Smith was selected as the prom queen and Skyler Noble, son of Pam Marsh, was the prom king.

Richard Johnson will join Bluffton council tonight

Richard Johnson will be sworn in as Bluffton's newest council member on Monday. He was selected to replace Everett Collier who resigned in April.

Several other reports are on the agenda. Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, will update council on the following:

• Beaverdam Contracting has completed the water line replacement projects on Kibler and Garmatter. Both Kibler and Garmatter are scheduled to be resurfaced in 2016. Bluffton Paving will perform some sealing of joints to help the surface maintain until the resurfacing.
