Selma Diller retired as a nurse's aid from Hilty Memorial Home

Selma L. Diller, 87, of Pandora, died at 5 p.m. May 28, 2013 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Feb. 9, 1926, near Pandora to Edward and Mary Wenger Miller.
  

Mrs. Diller grew up on a cane mill farm in rural Pandora. She graduated from Pandora High School in 1944. After marriage, she worked at the Triplett Corp., Bluffton, the Amstutz Cannery in Pandora, Pandora-Gilboa Schools and retired as a nurse’s aide from the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.

Bernice Oberly Reichenbach worked at Triplett Corp. for over 20 years

Bernice Marie Oberly Reichenbach, 88, died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Willow Ridge, Bluffton.

She was born in Putnam County, Ohio, on June 29, 1924, to Reno and Bertha Hochstettler Oberly, who preceded her in death. On December 17, 1944, she married Fred Reichenbach, who died July 24, 1998.

Mrs. Reichenbach was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Cory High School. She worked at Electric Auto Lite in Toledo and at Millagers’ Pharmacy in Bluffton.

She retired from Triplett Corp. in Bluffton, after working there more than 20 years.

Steven P. Essinger, 1953 - 2013

Steven P. Essinger, age 61, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11:53 p.m. at his residence in Alger.

He was born on March 15, 1952 in Kenton to Paul G. and Wilma A. (Williams) Essinger, his father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Arlington. He married Saundra A. Biederman on August 25, 1979 in Kenton and she survives in Alger.

Steven was an Associate at the Honda Manufacturing, East Liberty Plant. He attended Victory Chapel of Praise, Alger. He was a 1970 graduate of Hardin Northern High School.

Marilyn Creps was a retired LPN at Bluffton Hospital

Marilyn A. Creps, age 80, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:17 am at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

She was born on June 16, 1932 in Findlay, Ohio to Carl D. and Evelyn (Clapper) Gallant, they preceded her in death. On September 4, 1954 she married Gene E. Creps and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2002.

Marilyn retired after working for approximately 50 years at the Bluffton Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She later worked for the Allen County Sheriff's Jail. She was a member of the Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton.

Lee Conaway served in Korea; received a Purple Heart Award

LeRoy “Lee” Conaway, 83 died May 17, 2013, at his residence after a two month battle of cancer. 

He was born July 26, 1929, in Lima to the late Elmer and Anna (Mills) Conaway.  On May 7, 1954 he married Gayla Wynkoop and she survives.

He owned and operated Lee’s Hydraulics, Lima, for over 40 years and retired in 1985 after 28 years from the Lima Ford Engine Plant. He had owned, trained, and raised harness horses. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart Award.
