15 with Hannah Chappell-Dick…on living in the moment, her running career, and visions for future society

Hannah graduated from BHS in 2012 and will graduate college this spring. She took the time to reflect on her experiences in college and share her ambitions for the future with us.

Where do you attend school and what are you studying?
I go to Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I am a Biology major with minors in Exercise Science, Coaching, and Honors.

Kris Lowry, First National branch manager is an Ohio Banker’s League grad

Kris Lowry, AVP, Branch Manager at The First National Bank, recently graduated from the 2015 OBL Bank Management School sponsored by the Ohio Bankers League.  Lowry was one of 31 bankers who completed the intensive one-week program earlier this month.

Louise Dunlap, Olivia Barnes and Ayden McDougle winners of Lions peace poster contest

Three Bluffton seventh graders are winners in the 2015-16 Bluffton Lions Club peace poster contest.

The students are:
• Louise Dunlap, first
• Olivia Barnes, second
• Ayden McDougle, third

This year's theme "Share Peace," was open to students ages 11,12 or 13. Each poster was judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme. Winning posters advance to the district level judging.

A sampling of who rang your doorbell on Thursday

Monsters, princesses, football players, butterflies, lots of Wonder Woman and even trees.

All of these and more rang doorbells in Bluffton on Thursday evening during the official trick-or-treat night.

Megan Sycks October's BHS student of the month

Megan Sycks, a junior, is the October Bluffton High School student of the month. She is the daughter of  David and Linda Sycks. Megan is a junior and has a 4.000 GPA.

Megan is active in extra curricular activities including show choir, chamber choir, jazz band, pep band, marching band and drama club.

She is on the all A honor roll, a National Honor Society member, and has received academic awards for English and Spanish.
