Farmer's market returns to Bluffton Saturday morning

Saturday, May 5, means Bluffton's Farmers' Market returns to Main Street for 2012.

Peter Previte, Bluffton farmers' market coordinator, told The Icon that hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon. The market continues each Saturday - rain or shine - through the final Saturday of October, which is Oct. 27.

Located in Citizens National Bank parking lot between the bank and the Bluffton Post Office, the family-friendly market showcases farm fresh produce, delicious prepared foods, local entertainment, local community causes and information about the Bluffton community.

Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, Ada, has pre-sale recital tickets on sale; fall class information now available

Darcey Schneider of Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, Main Street, Ada, reminds Icon viewers to stop in the Centre on Saturday, May 5, anytime from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to purchase tickets for the Centre's spring recital and to obtain information on fall classes.

Several dancers from the Bluffton schools will perform in the recital.

Schneider said that the spring show is at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Lima Senior High School. All seats are reserved. Pre-sale tickets are $9 on May 5. After the 5th tickets are $11 each.

Hancock Sheriff has "prom" patrols

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will staff extra patrols during the next two weekends. These patrols are in conjunction with prom activities at area high schools, according to Sgt. Matt Kinsinger of the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
