First National Bank hosts Social Security Workshop Aug. 11

First National Bank and First National Financial Services will conduct a Social Security Workshop Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Findlay Inn and Suites, 200 E. Main Cross Street, Findlay.

The workshop features Matt Simpson from BlackRock, who will provide general education about Social Security benefits, strategies on how to receive Social Security benefits and will walk through individual options. The workshop is free, includes dinner, and is open to the public.

Patricia Lehman had operated several antique stores in the area

 Velda "Pat" Patricia (Biederman) Lehman, died July 22, 2015,  at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, Ky.  She was born July 8, 1933, in Allen County to the late Thomas Edward and Velda Mary (Daughtery) Biederman. She married Keith Evan Lehman and he preceded her in death.

She was a resident of Pandora and more recently of LaGrange, Ky.

Lifelong Bluffton resident, Betty Steiner was a 1939 graduate of Bluffton HS

Betty Cecilia (Reichenbach) Steiner, 94, died at 7:15 a.m. July 23, 2015, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.

She was born March 10, 1921, in Bluffton, to David and Lucille (Welty) Reichenbach, who preceded her in death. On April 21, 1957, she married Evan W. Steiner, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1985.

Kaelin Weissling takes a bite from her Vacation Bible School snack. Before the Graham Crackers and marshmallows were a snack, they were sheep in a VBS project. Community VBS concludes tonight at Bluffton Presbyterian.

Looks like there’s lots to do in Bluffton this weekend. Here’s a capsule of events:

Friday - free ice cream

Tommy Tire Sales, 319 N. Main St., will have its second annual free ice cream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Friday, according to Tom Dotson."Jay Lugibihl will bring his homemade ice cream maker again and also this year we will be doing a bonus for the kids with free pony rides from noon to 5 p.m.," said Dotson.
