Here are the poll results concerning viewers' comfort level attending Sunday church services at the moment.

Heartland conference working toward sports competition guidelines

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference presidential and athletic leadership groups remain optimistic that the HCAC will be able to safely conduct fall athletic competition.  

HCAC institutions are finalizing plans and protocols regarding students returning to campuses for the fall term.  

Following those announcements, the HCAC plans to provide updates to the public on athletic activities at regular 15-day intervals until the start of the fall seasons.

Butterweed season

Cressleaf groundsel, also called butterweed, is a yellow flower in bloom this month in rural Bluffton area and across Ohio. This field is south of Bluffton. It is an increasing concern for many livestock producers as it is toxic to livestock. Cressleaf reproduces from seeds and emerges as a rosette in the fall, then bolts, flowers, and goes to seed in the spring.  Plants eventually produce seeds resembling those of dandelions. Click here for more details.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Moderna issues early information about its potential coronavirus vaccine

With the coronavirus pandemic raging on, several pharmaceutical companies are in the race to produce a vaccine, including the company Moderna.

And early information suggests that the Massachusetts biotechnology company is on track to get a COVID-19 vaccine to market.

Over the last several months, the company said it has taken steps to get its vaccine, mRNA-1273, studied.
