Summer flowers in Bluffton

We can't wait for a scene like this in Bluffton. It's coming. One thing that makes this photo so strong are the flowers along Main Street. Stratton Greenhouses, the flower caretakers, invite groups, indivividuals and businesses to sponsor flowerpots for this summer. A story below provides the details.

Ebenezer children present spring musical April 24

Ebenezer Mennonite Church children’s choir, Disciple Singers, will present
a spring musical called “The Agape League” on Sunday, April 24,
at 10:15 a.m. in the Crossroads Ministry Center.

The church is located at 8905 Columbus Grove Rd, Bluffton. Everyone is
welcome.

Reese named HCAC Field Athlete of Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University’s D'Nae Reese (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) took down a pair of Bluffton University records and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week following her great performances at the Marv Frye Invitational on Sunday, April 10.

What are you going to be when you grow up? Bluffton 8th graders already know

It was Bluffton middle school’s “Night at the Museum.” Except it was a living museum.

The cross-cultural project with Language Arts and Social Studies involved 260 sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Over 900 persons visited the museum during its one-night event on April 5.

Each student developed a project board for display.
• Sixth grade projects focused on countries of the world.
• Seventh grade projects focused on famous people.
• Eighth grade projects focused on careers of their choice.

Yoder grandson plays big role in OSU men's gymnastic Big Ten title

The Division I NCAA third-ranked Ohio State men’s gymnastics team captured the 2016 Big Ten Men’s Gymnastics Championship April 1 in front of a hometown crowd of 1,579 at St. John Arena.

The Buckeyes secured their 13th Big Ten title overall and first since 2007. 

Alec Yoder, grandson of Alan and Diann Yoder of Bluffton, played a huge part in OSU’s finish.

Elaine Wehri and Art Schnepke entertained Bluffton chamber members during Friday's breakfast. Bluffton senior citizens are familiar with Elaine as she has performed several times over the years at the Senior Center. You'll have a chance to hear Elaine perform during the Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday, May 14. When Elaine is not playing the accordian, she is a realtor with RealLiving CCR Realtors, Bluffton, and an auctioneer.
