Public invited to March 24 Bluffton business expo - over 21 businesses will display products

For the first time in over five years, Bluffton and area residents are invited to a Bluffton business expo where they can view products and services of over 21 local businesses.

With 21 businesses  signed up  and more anticipated, it's the Bluffton Oscars Mix and Mingle business expo, at The Centre on Thursday, March 24.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs, partnering with Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce and The Centre, will hold the event from 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free. Several door prizes from businesses will be given away during the event.

Book fair comes to elementary April 18-22

Bluffton elementary's annual spring book fair is April 18–22. 

The book fair will be open daily from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, is family night with hours set at 6 to 8 p.m. 

This book fair is a Buy One/Get One Free (BOGO).  ThefFair will close at 2 p.m., Friday, April 22.

15 works from elementary artists on display at the library

March is Student Art Month at the Bluffton Public Library. 

Fifteen works of art from the elementary were recently chosen to be displayed. Self-portraits, landscapes, paper-weaving and optical illusions are among the work being displayed this month.

Mary Ann Sullivan delivers two illustrated lectures on artists

Mary Ann Sullivan, Professor Emerita Bluffton University, will deliver two illustrated lectures on prominent American artists in the new series: 
• Jeff Koons will be the subject of the Wednesday, March 16 lecture
• Cindy Sherman will be featured on March 23.

Koons is one of the most controversial artists in the world today; his work, Balloon Dog (Orange) recently sold for $58,400,000, the highest auction price in history for any living artist.
