Fizz, Boom, Read summer storytime schedule at the Bluffton Public Library is in place. here's the storytime schedule for pre-schoolers (ages 3 to 5). Session are Mondays at 6:30 p.m. or Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Sixth grader Erin Murray of Bluffton, Ohio was the local and regional winner for her essay written for the DAR American History essay. Fifth grader Danny Kelly of St. Michael’s School in Findlay won second place in the local Fort Findlay contest.
The students were to write an essay about an historic or fictional child who lived at the time of the American Revolutionary War. Erin, a student at Cory-Rawson School, won first place award from the Fort Findlay Chapter for her essay and went on to be the winner of the Northwest Ohio Branch of the Ohio DAR contest.
The face of Bluffton village government changed on May 19. And its change is not yet complete.
During the first council session following the “flooding” of the town hall, Mitch Kingsley, council president, announced his resignation as council president. He, however, did not resign from council and plans to retain his seat until later this year when he will resign.
Kingsley read a statement explaining the reasons for his resignation. His statement follows:
Last week Dawn King sent the Icon a great photo of an American Bald Eagle perched in a tree along Riley Creek. Since that posting, several Icon views state that they've spotted the "Bluffton" eagle in the vicinity of Riley Creek.

Bradley M. Koontz, 41 died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at his home. He was born July 7, 1972, in Bluffton to John R. and Sue (Crawford) Koontz who survive in Bluffton.
HE worked as a team leader at Roki Industries, Findlay, for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Mt. Cory United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School.
Survivors also include a daughter Ashley Koontz of Bluffton; a brother Brian (Melissa French) Koontz of Findlay; half brother Alan (Holly) Koontz of Holgate; and a maternal grandmother Treva Crawford of Bluffton.

Bluffton's blitz on TV begins tonight. Fox TV, Lima, channel 9, Time Warner, will feature the community this week with several feature stories. In addition, several Bluffton area businesses, including the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, will air TV spots.
