CEDARVILLE, Ohio - A unique part of college cross county in the state of Ohio is the All-Ohio Championship. The last Friday in September virtually every college, regardless of division and affiliation, gathers at Cedarville University to race in a single race per gender. Where else in college athletics can Bluffton University compete head-to-head against Ohio State?
GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team continued its winning ways as it traveled to Granville for a matchup with the Denison University Big Red. The home team was just one night removed from taking a set off NCAC foe and #5 ranked Wittenberg University. Denison slipped to 6-11 overall while the Beavers improved to 13-7 heading into fall break.
The following is the first of a two-part series explaining the benefits of The Women's Center of Bluffton Hospital. With work underway toward the Center, the Icon posed the question to the hosital: How will the Women’s Center benefit patients?

Robotic Surgery
Once the doors are officially opened, The Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital will offer robotic surgery for patients needing gynecological surgery.
Betty H. Stucky, 84, died Sept. 30, 2016, at 7:45 a.m. at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Betty was born July 18, 1932 in Glendale, Calif., to the late John and Elizabeth (VanderGiessen) Wolmerstett. On Jan. 25, 1951, she married Kenneth Stucky who preceded her in death on July 16, 2011.
Betty was a homemaker and pastor's wife.
Survivors include three daughters, Dotty (Jim) Leightner of Pandora, Sherry (Dave) Krohn of Pandora, Sue (Scott) Lehman of Pandora; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Stories of transformative experiences and life-long lessons filled Founders Hall Tuesday morning as students shared memories from their May-term, cross-cultural experiences.
The Ottawa-Glandorf Titans brought their game to the Bluffton Pirates on a wet Steinmetz Field Thursday, Sept. 29. In the end Bluffton prevailed, 2-1.
The Pirates hit the net first at 14 minutes into the game when Luke Young made a perfect crossing pass to Tristan Smucker who headed it past the goalie.
In the 32 minute Bluffton was called for a foul in the O-G box and the Titans were awarded a penalty kick. Levi Smith, Bluffton’s goalkeeper got a hand on Brice Schroeder’s penalty kick, but not enough to stop it.
