RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University volleyball team was on the road for their opening Heartland Conference contest with Earlham College on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The Beavers dominated the match, winning 25-11, 25-15 and 25-19 while improving to 12-7 overall and 1-0 in the HCAC. Earlham slipped to 4-15 and 0-1 in the conference.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Heidelberg University women's soccer team led 4-1 with less than two minutes to play before a pair of Bluffton tallies gave the Beavers momentum heading into Heartland Conference play this weekend despite a 4-3 loss to the Student Princes on an overcast Wednesday, Sept. 28. Bluffton ends non-conference play with a 0-5 mark, while Heidelberg goes into OAC action with a 5-3-2 mark.

WOOSTER, Ohio - The College of Wooster netted three goals in the first 25 minutes en route to a 4-0 shutout of the Bluffton University men's soccer team on a rainy Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. The visitors fell to 3-6 on the season, while Wooster improved to 4-5-1 with the victory.

Epilepsy awareness event honors former Bluffton and North Baltimore student

The third annual Drew Rayle Memorial midget football game, honoring a Bluffton youth who died in 2014, takes place Saturday, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m. in Memorial Park, North Baltimore. The event supports the Drew Rayle Memorial Fund.

This is an epilepsy awareness event. During his brief life, Rayle, as an elementary student, attended school in North Baltimore and later moved to Bluffton where he attended school. He played midget football for both teams.

Income eligibility guidellines for free and reduced meals are in this story

Bluffton Child Development Center, 325 County Line Road, Bluffton, announces its participation in the USDA-funded Child and Adult Care Food Program, according to Francine Donathan, director.

Ada came to Bluffton for a conference match Tuesday evening. Bluffton smothered the Bulldogs, 5-0.

Five players scored for the Pirates:
• Luke Young headed in the first goal at the 7th minute
• Douglas Nester scored the second at 9 minutes, assist by Tristan Smucker
• Three goals in the second half started with a chester, by Antony Kingsley, assist by Luke Young at 50 minutes
• Isaac Andreas put in the game’s fourth goal at 63 minutes, assist by Isaiah Schwab
• And Isaiah Schwab got a goal at minute 64, assist by Tristan Smucker
