ROSSFORD – Five members of the Bluffton High School wrestling team competed well in the Div. III district tournament at Rossford on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7.
Two Pirates finished fifth in their weight class, while another took sixth.
Archbold won the district team crown with 177 points. Delta came in second (161), while Liberty Center was a distant third (104).
Bluffton finished a solid 17th at the 50-team tournament with 39 points.
Bluffton's Ten Thousand Villages shop, 115 S. Main, has officially changed its name to World Goods Et Cetera. The change came after store volunteers and board members considered nearly 30 names.
Previously, Ten Thousand Villages was part of a chain including 13 company-owned stores. In 2025, the parent company decided to spin off its brick-and-mortar locations and focus the brand on wholesaling and e-commerce.
KANSAS__The Bluffton High School boys basketball team saw its season come to an end at the hands of top-seeded Castalia Margaretta 55-30 in their Div. V Northwest 2 district final game on Friday, March 6 at Lakota High School.
Margaretta raced to a 15-2 lead after the first quarter and never trailed. The Polar Bears won a closer second stanza 15-8 to build a 30-10 halftime lead. Pirate Parker Lovell scored two baskets in the second period.
