Robert "Bob" J. Cheney, 58 died May 11, 2015, at his residence as a result of a farming accident. He was born May 23, 1956, in Bluffton to Willis and Carol (Montgomery) Cheney.
He was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and was a lifetime farmer. He also co-owned and operated Cheney Brothers, Inc., Bluffton with his brothers. He had also worked at Ex-Cello/Purepak for many years.
Stephen Johnson, bagpiper from Ada, will make his second appearance at this year's Bluffton Art and Crafts Festival. He will perform in the late morning on Saturday downtown.
Grandma's day care (Brenda Byers manager and Tim Byers recreation coordinator), which takes care of eight little, or not so little, grandkids has added this unique vehicle.
The six-seater stroller is 128 pounds of metal and canvas and, according to Landon, Emily and Molly Byers and Conner Clum and Ellery Byers it is a great ride!
Three more grandkids join the day care once school is out so Dalton, Blake and Levi Clum will be on hand daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to do the pushing to town from Tom Fett Road.
A new swimmer parent meeting for new swimmers on this season's Bluffton swim team is set for the end of the month.
The meeting is from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 18, in Room 115 of the Bluffton Middle School, according to Delaney Reineke. Enter through the Franklin Street doors.
