FROM FACEBOOK__The Allen County Sheriff's Office has received reports that scammers are spoofing its non-emergency phone number and calling residents to demand payment.

Important:

• We will NEVER call you to request payment for a warrant or a fine.

• Our non-emergency number (419-227-3535) will NOT appear on your caller ID if we contact you.

• If you receive a call where 419-227-3535 shows on your caller ID and the caller is demanding payment, it is a SCAM.

Scammers can manipulate caller ID to make it look like the call is coming from a trusted number.
