D. Jane Grismore, 93, passed away April 15, 2026 at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton. Jane was born August 8, 1932 in rural Lima to the late Emmer and Florence (Cool) Bridges. On June 16, 1951, she married Park Cherry and he passed away on September 10, 1965. She later married Herbert Grismore on December 5, 1971 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2024.

MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton University recognized outstanding student-athletes, campus supporters and welcomed a featured speaker during its annual Athletics Awards Forum on Tuesday, April 14. 

The Forum included recognition of major athletic award recipients and a keynote presentation from Brian Polian, vice president for athletics and national engagement at John Carroll University.

CELINA __The visiting Bluffton High School boys tennis team defeated Celina 4-1 on Wednesday evening, April 15.

The Pirates improved to 5-1 with their fourth consecutive victory. Celina dropped to 2-3 with the home defeat.

The Pirates easily won all six singles sets, dropping only seven games.

Bluffton senior Grady Coonfare cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel win at first singles.  

Pirate senior Isaiah Kohli also won handily at second singles 6-2, 6-2.
