Divisions open to • students • existing businesses • new businesses

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is inviting participants for this fall’s Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, according to Eric Berdin, BCE director.

Several changes are part of this year’s competition:
• Classes are online
• Three divisions are in the competition
• The competition moved from winter to fall
• Participants will present their business plans during a catered dinner in November

(DELPHOS) - The Bluffton boys golf squad finished third of four Northwest Conference teams Monday.  Paulding won the match shooting 176.  Grove was second at 180, Bluffton third at 187 and Jefferson carded a 192.

(BATH) - Bluffton’s girls tennis team was defeated 4-1 Tuesday afternoon at Lima Bath.  The Pirates got a win from Pearl Lewandowski & Julia Smallcombe in second doubles. 

1st Singles : Erin Hotmire lost to Esther Bolon 6-1, 6-1

2nd Singles : Olivia Barnes lost to Ruby Bolon 6-0, 6-1

3rd Singles: Raychel Avila lost to Fayme Ghandi 6-3, 4-1

1st Doubles : Emma Klinger & Caity Zimmerman lost to Emily McNett & Regan Canter 7-5, 6-1

What a different a week makes. Last week the Icon snapped this photo of two carpenters working on the new office building going up on State Route 103. By early in the week siding was already installed. This view is a "polorized" photo technique to show the black and white contrasts in the photograph. This technique works well with photos showing outlines.
