The Bluffton University men's basketball team downed Kalamazoo for its second straight victory in the Sommer Center on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. Bluffton improved to 2-3 on the season, while the Hornets also stand 2-3 following their loss.
Harrison L. Underwood, 89, passed away December 1, 2021 at his residence.

The health and safety of our patrons and staff at the Bluffton Public Library are a top priority. Based on Allen County Health Department's guidance, library masking guidelines are as follows: Patrons ages 10 and up are required to wear a face mask that properly covers the nose and mouth. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (ages 18+) who will remain with them during their visit. Returns continue to be made in the outdoor book drop. The visiting Bluffton girls basketball team handcuffed county rival Lima Central Catholic 46-24 in a non-league mismatch Tuesday night, November 30.
The Lady Pirates led 13-6 after one period and extended the margin to 28-9 by intermission. An 11-3 third period put the game further out of reach with a 27-point Pirate bulge heading to the final stanza.
Bluffton improved to 3-0 with the lopsided win.
Pirate Ayla Grandey and Kylie Stackhouse each netted 12 points to pace the victors. Riley Eachus added seven markers.
