Bluffton fire, EMS and police are assisting residents in high-water areas of town this morning. Over night flooding separated the town in two parts as the Riley overflowed its banks. Watch for more photos coming. This scene is on Cherry Street near Vance.

The Beaverdam Bunch held a 4-H meeting this past Monday. Program booklets were handed out for the members.

A few demonstrations were given by our members. Brooke Camper explained to us about eating healthy and the good things it can do for you. Cierra Ackerman demonstrated how to take care of pests in a garden. Elizabeth Swisher talked about dehydration, it's symptoms and what you could do. Our next meeting will be in 4 weeks on May 20.

The instructions are obvious: Little Free Pantry. Give what you can. Take what you need (non-freezable items only, please). This free pantry is part of the local mission effort of Bluffton Presbyterian Church.

County Line Road - Hardin County Road 15 bridge rehabilitation in process

In late March, The Icon visited the bridge project that crosses Hog Creek on County Line Road - Hardin County Road 15, south of Bluffton. Here’s a one month progress report.

FROM ADA ICON - The bridge is closed until mid-June while undergoing rehabilitation, according to the Hardin County engineer’s office.
