"Shapeshifters" exhibit Jan. 4-29 at university
Roger Sugden’s exhibit titled “Shapeshifters” will be on display January 4-29 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekly and 1-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. A reception with the artist will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17. The display is open to the public and free of charge.
Sugden describes the exhibit as “objects in motion.” The artist also states that these objects are created through inspiration from the mythos of existential life, of UFOs and of crop circles. Sugden uses ancient themes and presents them in a futuristic way by using modern materials.
Sugden is a sculptor living in Fort Wayne, Ind., and is a brother to assistant professor of art, Philip Sugden.
