All-star cast on Friday's chamber breakfast agenda: Judge David Rodabaugh, Magistrate Richard Warren, Bill Triplett and more
Lima Municipal Court Judge David Rodabaugh, Magistrate Richard Warren, and former resident Bill Triplett are each part of the Friday, March 11, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast program.
In addition, the chamber will welcome Dr. Matthew Ellerbrock, of Ellerbrock Spine and Soft Tissue, as a new member.
The free breakfast is from 7 to 7:30 a.m. in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. Diamond Manufacturing is the breakfast sponsor and The Dough Hook is the caterer. Persons interested in attending may rsvp [email protected]
Judge Rodabaugh
Rodabaugh, who grew up in Bluffton and had a law office here, was sworn in as municipal court judge on Feb. 26, in Lima.
For the benefit of Bluffton chamber members and residents unable to attend that ceremony, the chamber has invited a “repeat” ceremony during the Friday breakfast.
Handling the repeat swearing-in honors is another person familiar with Bluffton, Magistrate Warren, a former Lima Municipal Court judge.
Both Rodabaugh and Warren will attend the breakfast. Their part of the program will take place at 7:30 a.m. Because of court duties at 9 a.m. they will return to Lima following their part in Friday’s program.
Bill Triplett
Bill Triplett, son of the late Ropp and Mary Emma Triplett, is also on Friday’s program. Triplett and his extended Triplett family of brothers, sister and their spouses, created a bike ride in Bluffton last summer.
The “Ride to Remember” is now an annual Bluffton event. This year, taking place on Saturday, July 16, the ride offers options for families to ride together in a 10-mile ride. It also offers serious bikers a 100-mile route. In addition there are several in-between routes for bikers of all interest levels.
Proceeds from the ride benefit the Bluffton Bike and Pedestrian Pathway, which continues to add bike and walking paths to the community. Triplett will share some stories and photos from last year’s event. He will invite chamber and community members to join the project as volunteers this year.
Also on the agenda
Two levies on the Tuesday, March 15, Ohio primary ballot will be explained. Those levies are a school levy income tax renewal and a Bluffton Public Library renewal.
