At the beginning of 2019, Melinda Bowden of PromoHits, 141 N. Main St., Bluffton, decided to give back to local communities.
She announced that 5 percent of PromoHits total product sales would go to local charities. Through June 30, $17,565.14 was raised through the program. When purchasing promotional products from PromoHits, customers designated which charity they wanted to support.
Four charities chosen to receive proceeds from January to June (proceeds in parentheses):
• Bluffton Community Assistance Program - $1,352.36
• Crime Victim Services - $4,848.29
• Hope House - $7,178.57
• St. Paul’s Community Center - $4,185.92
“I’m so pleased with the support we received from our customers in raising this amount for these worthy charities. I’m hopeful the donations will aid them in continuing their great work and I look forward to seeing similar results for our four featured charities through the end of the year,” said Bowden.
Four charities designated to receive the proceeds from the program in the second half of the year include:
• Bluffton for Hope
• Pierce’s Crew Foundation
• Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio and
• the Equestrian Therapy Program
