Pirate volleyball outlasts Arlington

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton volleyball team squeaked out a five-set marathon win over visiting non-league foe Arlington on Tuesday, September 8 (opponent corrected).
The Pirate girls improved to 5-4 overall with the tight 21-25, 25-14, 25-13, 24-26, 15-13 victory.
Camryn Fruchey led the Pirates with 12 kills, 24 assists and six aces.
Karlie Lora also smacked 12 kills and came up with two blocks.
Adelyn Althaus dished out 13 assists
Gracie Warren hustled up 20 digs, while Ari Goings mustered 15 digs. Warren also dealt a pair of aces.
Ari Goings served two aces, and Lainey Grandey dealt one ace.
The Bluffton reserves lost, 2-1.
The Pirates host Elmwood (2-5) in a non-league match on Thursday.
