The Covid pandemic has brought about new challenges to the medical community and society as a whole. There have been times where we were forced to give up rights and do things we are not comfortable doing. We as Americans do not give up our rights freely and will definitely put up a fight whenever we feel our rights are being infringed. We have fights over why we would or should wear a mask. Fights over vaccines and if they should be mandated. Fights over schools and how the school year should be laid out, if the kids should wear masks, should we have full sessions, etc.
Citizens National Bank (CNB) announced the promotion of Courtney Geus to VP Retail Lending. In this position she is responsible for managing the Retail Loan Department and oversight of underwriting for residential mortgages, home equity lines of credit and consumer loans. Additionally, she is responsible for the pricing, selling, delivery and servicing of all saleable loans.

The United Way of Greater Lima kicked off their 2021 annual campaign by asking the community to be “100% All In” for the community. The goal is to raise an additional $100,000 in response to increased community needs.
The 2020 greater Lima campaign (including Bluffton) secured enough donations to award local non-profits with $1.35 million. United Way of Greater Lima was able to support 38 programs provided by 33 Community Partners, in addition to funding 13 additional special projects and services. The organization distributed $115,165 in COVID relief to local nonprofits.
The visiting Bluffton boys soccer team handed Kenton its first loss of the season by a 2-0 count in a non-league match Thursday night, September 16.
Bluffton improved to 6-2-1 with the victory. The Wildcats dropped to 4-1-3 after suffering the defeat.
Pirate Kaden Basil scored the first goal 19:43 into the contest on an assist by Jude Spallinger. The contest stayed that way into halftime, and for the next 60 minutes after the initial tally.
