Lots going on during Monday night trick-or-treating in Bluffton

Knock, knock. Who's there?

Monday night is trick-or-treat night in Bluffton. Halloween hours are from 6 to 7:30 p.m., according to Mayor Fred Rodabaugh.

Several special trick-or-treat events also take place in Bluffton on Monday. Halloweeners are invited to visit the lobby of Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St. An invitation is also extended to Halloweeners at Maple Crest, off Augsburger Road.

"Puss In Boots" shown at Shannon Oct. 28 - Nov 3

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Puss In Boots" (PG) is showing at the theatre from October 28 - November 3.

Show times follow:

2D every evening at 7 PM with Saturday & Sunday matinees at 1:30 PM.
3D every evening at 9:30 PM with Saturday & Sunday matinees at 4 PM.

Shannon Theatre and Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Co., will hold its third annual customer appreciation day Saturday, Nov. 5, according to Pete and Kim Suter.

BFR bench press competition Nov. 12

BFR Sports and Fitness will host a bench press competition Saturday, Nov. 12. Weigh in begins at 9 a.m. and lifting will begin at 10:30 a.m..

'John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean' set for Oct. 29 at ONU's Freed Center

The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents "John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean" on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m.

Conceived by Tony Award nominee and Disney Playhouse star John Tartaglia, "ImaginOcean" is a one-of-a-kind, live black-light puppet show for kids of all ages.

Nate Gundy and band performs in town hall Oct. 29

Bluffton High School grad Nathan Gundy and his bluegrass band, Honeytown, will perform in the next Town Hall Concert Series. The performance is at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, in the third floor of the town hall.

Wendy-Chappell Dick describes the band this way: Honeytown is a fun and upbeat four-piece group of talented musicians from Kidron made up of Tim Shue, Gundy, Kevin Himes and Toby Hazlett.
