School superintendent updates district on two major repair projects: air conditioning system at BHS and Harmon Field stadium

There are two topics from the March 15 school board meeting on which I would like to provide updates.

Methel Benroth celebrates 90th March 26

Methel Benroth will celebrate her 90th birthday on Friday, March 26. A family celebration will be held in her honor. Cards may be sent to the Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

Bluffton non-profit groups invited to take advantage of arts and crafts show

Bluffton non-profit organizations are invited to take advantage of a half-price booth cost for the May 22 arts and crafts show. Non-profit groups are invited to create a display about what their organization is all about. They may also sell items from their booth, if they choose.

"It's a great way for local clubs and organizations to share what they are all about to the community," said Jerry Burkholder, craft show vendor coordinator.

The driver claims she's not a Harley fan, but the license plate says she is. We spotted this plate on North Main Street.

You bet! The vehicle is red. But as for "SCT," no clue. We spotted this Putnam County plate in the Founders Hall parking lot.

Groves' Bears business will relocate on South Main while building repairs underway

Groves Bears store will temporarily relocate the business and reopen for walk-In business the week of March 29, according to Robin Wilch, store owner.

The new location will be at 123 S. Main St., which is the former Wright's store. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has used that building as its office during the streetscape project.
