Joanne Emma Avers, 81, formerly of Clyde, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Carroll, Ohio.
Joanne was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Fremont to Lawrence A. & Velma T (Binger) Ferkel. She graduated from Green Springs High School in 1954 and received her bachelor's degree from Capital University in Columbus.
On Aug 20, 1955, she married Rev. Robert Paul Avers. They spent 10 years as missionaries in Ethiopia.
William M. Gaines III, 70, died July 8, 2018, in Grove City, Ohio. Bill was born March 12, 1948, in Dayton to the late William and Leona (Furay) Gaines. On Sept. 6, 1969, he married Brenda Ferguson Gaines who survives.

Mary L. Koontz, 95, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 9:10a.m. at Willow Ridge in Bluffton. She was born October 21, 1922 in St. Marys, Ohio to Theodore and Edna (Schmehl) Schultz who preceded her in death. On June 6, 1948 she married Jasper "Joe" Koontz and they celebrated 53 1/2 years of marriage before he died on Nov. 23, 2001.
She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1940. She attended Fredericks Beauty School, Lima, graduating in December of 1940.
Joyce Ann Risser, 81, died June 28, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health System. Joyce was born March 19, 1937, in Lima to the late Jesse and Lucille (Fetter) Augsburger. On June 29, 1956, she married Dale Risser who preceded her in death on March 24, 2014.
Joyce was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She was a homemaker, had previously worked at Triplett Corporation in Bluffton and attended the County Line Church of the Brethren near Ada. She enjoyed helping her husband on the farm, flowers, gardening, canning, baking and playing games with her grandchildren.
Denver C. Moore, Sr., 69, died on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 7:24 a.m. at his residence in Ada.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1948, in York, Kentucky to the late Carl V. and Bertha M. (Cole) Moore. On Nov. 5, 1972, Denver married Jeanne A. Green and she survives in Ada. Denver worked in construction. He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bluffton.
