Part of long-term care at state level discussion

Representative Robert R. Cupp (R), Ohio House District 4, visited Maple Crest Senior Living Village and Willow Ridge, Bluffton, on July 9.  Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio and LeadingAge Ohio invited Cupp for a tour and discussion on support for long-term care at the state level.

Cupp, Susan Wallace, director of public affairs for LeadingAge Ohio; Laura Voth, CEO, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio; and MHCO administrative staff discussed workforce issues, the State budget, Greenhouse Homes, and challenges facing the long-term care industry.

The Beaverdam Bunch held their last meeting on July 9, 2018. Demonstrations were given by Carter Dyer, Adam Fritsch, Kaitlin Thurmond, Jay Tuttle, Liam Watson, Mackay Tuttle, and Gracie Yarnell. A safety talk was also given by Nathan Hardesty. For the silent auction we are putting in a nail care basket.

Hope to see you all at the fair this year!

Trip was a great introduction to Europe and its variety of cultures

England, France, Germany and Switzerland are stamped on passports of several Bluffton High School students, teachers and adults accompanying the group during a nine-day tour of Europe.

Led by Bluffton High School teachers Vickie Garmon and  Brigette Hoff, the itinerary included a great introduction to Europe and its variety of cultures.

Termed “London, Paris and the Alps,” the trip made stops several museums, historic sites, and European landmarks.
