The Apollo Career Center Board of Education announced the appointment of Maria Rellinger as Treasurer/CFO of the Apollo district. Rellinger has served as the Treasurer/CFO of Paulding Exempted Village Schools since 2009.
Prior to her tenure with the Paulding district, Rellinger was the treasurer for Continental Local School District, and also served as an auditor for the Auditor of State of Ohio.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University, and an MBA from the University of Findlay.

Did you ever see a dinosaur at a car show?
Some of the cars at the County Line Church of the Brethren on Saturday dated back to 1929, but not to the age of the Giant Monsters. However, Bryan Counts of Spencerville is really into dinosaurs as is evident on the inside and outside of his 1977 Ford. (See his photo at bottom of story)
Members of the Bluffton Pandora Area Gardeners will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the home of Victoria Zeits for a leaf casting project.
According to the club newsletter:
"The castings make good accents to gardens. If you do not want to participate in the mud slinging you can come and watch or take a walk through Victoria’s gardens, they are always interesting to look at.
"Victoria has some different things that she plants and I think that if you look at something before you try it."
Linda Baumann will be installed as a new third and fourth grade teacher in Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera, during the July 9 worship service at Triinity Lutheran Church.
On July 1, retired Bluffton University math professor, Luther Shetler will have time to ponder the number 100 and all its meanings.
He was born July 1, 1917.
Originally from Indiana where he grew up on a dairy farm, Luther accepted a math teaching position at Bluffton College in 1950. He and his wife, Geneva, brought their family to Bluffton where he taught countless students in his academic discipline for 34 years, retiring in 1984.
