The American Legion Bluffton Post 382 will host a potluck diner Monday, July 6, at 6 p.m. at the Post. Veterans are welcomed, bring a hot and cold dish to share. After the meal the new Post officers will be installed by the Ohio Department Commander.

I caught Noah a few weeks after he raced in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ track and field nationals. We spent some time predicting the future and remembering the past.
Where are you now and what is your major?
I attend Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) in Marion, Indiana. I am a double major in Business Marketing and Management.
Maple Crest Senior Living Community, Bluffton, dedicated a memory garden, pier and screened house, on June 9.
The $72,000 project and was raised from contributions from 150 donors. Donations were financial and in-kind gifts.
Nearly 75 elders, family members and friends attended the dedication.
A task force of Maple Crest elders including Bob Bowersox, Joanne Niswander, JoAnn and Art Hilty, Clarence Kooker and Burton Yost provided guidance and ideas for the project.
Daren Lee and Doug Luginbill provided staff leadership to the task force.
Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., invites the public to its annual “Concert on the Lawn”, Saturday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m.
"Come and enjoy the music of the Lima Area Concert Band Come and help us celebrate Mennonite Memorial Home’s 60th anniversary," said Laura Voth, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio CEO.
The concert will include music from the 1950’s and 1960’s in addition to some patriotic selections. Bring a lawn chair and an appetite. There will be free ice cream, popcorn and beverages along with the fellowship of family and friends.
The Gardeners of America Club will meet Tuesday, July 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., will be a tour open to the public of the cooperative farm located at 9160 Putnam Road, Pandora.
Ray Person will lead members through the garden plots, sharing good practices and tips, so members might learn how to improve their own results.
