The 2022 outstanding $1000 scholarship winners are:

Bluffton’s Mike Rhonemus was recently awarded the 2021 High Mileage Award for 21,005 outside miles ridden, an honor presented by the Northwest Ohio Toledo Area Bicyclists. His goal was to ride the number of miles around the equator and--with indoor miles added--he did.
Dina Tadena is retiring after working at the Bluffton Middle School as a math teacher for the past 22 years. She previously taught at the Apollo Career Center High School and has a combined total of 34 years at area schools. The total number of students she taught? What would you guess?
The May 18 Night at the Museum hosted by Bluffton Middle School was a star-studded, high-drawing event, which featured students who selected a career, country or historical figure to study, dressed according to that topic, and created a poster presentation to share with visitors to the living museum.
The displays created rows around the middle school cafetorium and filling the gym. Friends, neighbors and families including younger siblings snaked their way past the displays.
Arlington writer David Sielschott has joined the ranks of local authors with For the Good of All, a detective novel set in small-town America.
Publishing house Christian Faith Publishing has said, "With affable characters and a mysterious plot, Sielschott’s flagship novel is an action-packed whodunit with a twist of faith."
Sielschott received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Ohio Northern University in 1979 and worked for the petroleum industry.
