May's school menu available

One covers operations; another covers permanent improvements

On May 7, The Bluffton Exempted Village School District will ask for your continued support of two renewal issues on the ballot.  One renewal of 4.244 mills for operating expenses was first passed in 1999; the other renewal, a 0.5% income tax for permanent improvements, was first passed in 2007.

The renewal levy on the May 7, 2019, ballot for 4.244 mills for 5 years was renewed in May 2014 at 4.9 mills.

Below is a quick overview of the renewal levy and its purpose:

Her directions: Phillips to Road R, turn on County Line Road to 313, turn left on 313 (also known as Main), turn right onto 235 and then turn right onto 103.

County Line Road - Hardin County Road 15 bridge rehabilitation in process

In late March, The Icon visited the bridge project that crosses Hog Creek on County Line Road - Hardin County Road 15, south of Bluffton. Here’s a one month progress report.

FROM ADA ICON - The bridge is closed until mid-June while undergoing rehabilitation, according to the Hardin County engineer’s office.
