The 2017 annual meeting of the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership (BRWP) will held on at 7 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Hancock County Ag. Center on County Road 140, Findlay, according to Phil Martin, director.
The program part of the meeting will start at 7:30 a.m. Updates and review of the work of the BRWP in 2017 will be presented.

A Hardin County wind turbine project is being placed east of Ada this fall.
• The turbines are gigantic compared to the three at ONU and the one at Ada Schools. The tower of these is 300 feet high, the blade is 150 feet long, thus when a blade is pointing up, the turbine reaches 450 feet from the ground.
The Bluffton Police Department recently met the requirement to receive Provisional Certification through the Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Certification program, according to Ryan Burkholder, Bluffton police chief.
This achievement means that the Bluffton police department has adopted and implemented state standards established by the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board as part of the state’s efforts to strengthen community and police relations.
The fall Bluffton elementary book fair takes place later this month, as does Red Ribbon Week. Those two special events are among several activities in October at the elementary.

ELEMENTARY BOOK FAIR: The Book Fair will begin the week of Oct. 23. Daily hours are 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday. Family Night is Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
