Kindergarten screening for the 2017-18 school year in the Bluffton school district takes place Monday and Tuesday, April 3 and 4.
Any child who will be 5 years old by Aug. 1, 2017, is eligible to enroll. Contact the elementary office at 419-358-7951 with the following information:

Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) was recently named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, part of the IBM Watson Health business. This is the fifth time BVH has been recognized with this honor. Previous years in which the organization received this distinction include 2005, 2011, 2015 and 2016.
Bluffton council has several meetings set in March and April. Those meetings follow:

Six Bluffton businesses have partnered to encourage area youth to shop local for all of their prom needs by using an Ultimate Prom Pass.
The idea of the “prom pass” originated from a conversation between two friends, Rachel Davis, owner of Studio Silhouette, and Joanna Gratz, a Compassionate Entrepreneur with Trades of Hope.
“We originally were talking about how the two of us could partner so high school girls could get their prom dress and jewelry in one stop,” said Gratz.
The Village of Bluffton is now accepting applications for lifeguards and management for the 2017 pool season, according to Nancy Kindle, village fiscal officer.
Applications are available in the Bluffton town hall lobby, 154 N. Main St.
