Bluffton Senior Citizen Association’s September dinner meeting is at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, at the Center, 132 N. Main St., Bluffton.

Carolyn Green is the master of ceremonies and Judy Erven and friends are the hostesses. The program is Scott Edwards, who will perform on the organ.

Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Two community meals are planned at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center in September. Meals are at 6 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

• Thursday, Sept. 3, meal is provided by the SHANNON Service Club.
• Thursday, Sept. 17, meal provided by Emmanuel United Church of Christ

Members of the Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area will visit New Leaf Garden Center, rural Ada, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Laurie Laird and Pam Hoffman will present  a program on gardening and cooking with herbs.

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus sent in their RSVP, so now the work begins.

It’s August but the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Blaze of Lights Committee work is underway.

This year’s Blaze of Lights is Saturday, Nov. 28.

Storytime at the Farmers’ Market
Bluffton Public Library moves its Saturday morning Storytime to the Bluffton Farmers’ Market.

Esther Birkey, youth services coordinator, will read books to youngsters from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Farmers’ market vendors are invited to read a book or two, also.

The Farmers’ Market is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Citizens National Bank parking lot.
