“Bluffton Hospital and rural hospital update” is the theme of the Friday, Nov. 13, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce chamber breakfast.
Chris Keller, chief administrative officer of Bluffton Hospital, is Friday’s presenter. The breakfast meeting takes place in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. Bluffton Hospital is the breakfast sponsor and the meeting is open to the public.
In celebration of Veterans Day, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will meet with Bluffton area veterans and pay for their haircuts on Nov. 11, Veterans Day.
Rep. Jordan will be at Stoney’s Barbershop, 125 N. Main St., Bluffton, from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesday, and will pay for the haircut of any veteran who visits between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
This is the second time that Rep. Jordan has paid for veterans’ haircuts on Veterans Day. Last year he visited Ed’s Barber Shop in Crestline.
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation will join more than 750 community foundations nationwide as they celebrate Community Foundation Week Nov. 12-18, 2015.
For more than 25 years, the effort has raised awareness about the increasingly important role of these philanthropic organizations in fostering local collaboration and innovation to address persistent civic and economic challenges.
Lynda Best of the Village Cultural Affair Committee say the Ream Holiday Folk Art Display cutouts will be placed on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lights and cutouts will be put in place. This is a call for all volunteers to assist!

Richard Johnson and Joseph Sehlhorts are winners of council seats.
Johnson registered to run for council prior to his appointment to council this year. His “appointed” seat will now be vacant. It will be council’s assignment to appoint someone to fill his vacated seat.
