While ever car was a winner, Larry Grismore's 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 of Ottawa, took the Best of Show award at this year's Lions' Club Wheels' Fest.

"The 45th Festival of Wheels was a great success. I would like to thank all those involved in helping with the set up of the car show. It takes so many people to pull off an event like this," said Dennis Morrison, car show chairperson.

The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 will induct new officers during a cookout installation ceremony tonight at the Bluffton Buckeye Park Shelter house.

The event is open to Legion members, area veterans and their families. The meal begins at 6 p.m. Persons attending are invited to bring a side dish or salad to share.

The post will provide brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, chip drinks and paper products. In case of bad weather, the meal will take place in the Sportsmen's Club depot.

An installation ceremony will take place immediately following the meal.

Gary and Emily Crawfis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 23. A Caribbean cruise was taken in January.

Gary Crawfis and Emily Hochstettler were married June 23, 1962, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, by the Rev. Dan Dalke.

They are the parents of two sons, Jason (Jami Shannon) Crawfis, of Bluffton and James Crawfis, of Beaverdam; and one daughter, Jami (Dan) Trumbower, of Monrovia, Md. They have five grandchildren.

Gary is retired from Westinghouse, Lima, and DTR, Bluffton. Emily is retired from Bluffton Schools.

This plate is on a "Bad 1986 Buick." It was on display at the 2012 Festival of Wheels.

Wanda Pannabecker

Wanda Suter Pannabecker of Bluffton, will turn 90 years old on Monday, June 18. Her family plans a celebration Saturday, June 16, at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. A short program will begin at 2 p.m., followed by an open house until 5 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Pannabecker was born June 18, 1922, in Leipsic, Ohio, to Harvey and Sylvia (Lugibihl) Suter. She graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1940 and graduated from Bluffton College in 1944 with a major in music. After college, she taught music for one year in the Middle Point schools.

Richland Manor, 7400 Swaney Road, a Trilogy Health Services Community and a Bluffton, provider of senior health and living services officially kicked off its annual company-wide Independence from Hunger food drive.

The campus business office is accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations now through to July 3. Donors will be entered for a chance to win a $ 50 gift card to their choice of restaurant or, in the case of an organization, winning a catered in lunch for all employees.
