The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce this week released its calendar of events, which include chamber program, major festivals, parades, and other annual activities that take place in Bluffton this year. Bluffton residents Amy Roby, representing Tastefully Simple, and Brandy Cox, representing Mary Kay Cosmetics, join Heather Blankenship of Findlay, representing Premier Designs, in an open house later this month in Findlay.

The open house is from 12:30 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at Blanchard Valley School, 1700 E. Sandusky St., Findlay. The event includes an afternoon of fun and food and a display of the products these women represent.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is in the midst of its 2012 new membership drive and the benefits of a chamber membership have never been better.

With its 151 members, the chamber invites businesses, industries, organizations and individuals to consider a membership this month.

Several benefits come with a Bluffton chamber membership. New members who join in February receive a 10 percent discount in their 12-month membership.

Bluffton's five Allen County election precincts are now three. The Allen County board of elections reduced the number of Allen County precincts from 121 to 80 in a cost-savings measure this winter.

According to Mark Vernick, director of the Allen County board of elections, the size of the new precincts in Bluffton was based upon the number of registered voters in the village.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, Feb. 29. The meal is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church felliowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora. The menu will be baked potato bar, chili, cake, coffee and punch.
