Chappell-Dick earns All-America award at NCAA national cc championships

Hannah Chappell-Dick, Bluffton, a senior at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, VA(Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) finished 17th at the NCAA National Cross Country Championships, becoming EMU's first women's NCAA All-American. Chappell-Dick set a new PR with a time of 21:38.5, just 15 seconds behind the first place winner.

It's Arlington over Bluffton in girls' tourney title game

Arlington defeated Bluffton in the title game of this year's McDonald's Girls' Holiday Tournament 78-45.

GAME STATS ARE AN ATTACHMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY.

In the consolation game, Allen East defeated Cory-Rawson 62-29.

It's Bluffton vs. Arlington in Saturday's title game

Bluffton defeated Cory-Rawson 74-14, and Arlington defeated Allen East 57-23 in Friday's opening round of the McDonald's Girls' Basketball tournament.

Saturday's tournament features Cory-Rawson versus Allen East in the 6 p.m. consolation match.

Bluffton faces Arlington in the title game.

Chappell-Dick to run in NCAA Division III cross country champs Nov. 21

Hannah Chappell-Dick, a Bluffton High School graduate and a senior at Eastern Mennonite University, has qualified for the 2015 Division III NCAA Cross Country Championships in Winneconne, Wisc.  The meet takes place Saturday, Nov. 21. The top 35 finishers earn All-American status.

It's BHS vs. Cory in Friday girls' ball season opener

It's Bluffton, Cory-Rawson, Allen East and Arlington in this weekend's McDonald's Holiday Girls' Basketball Tournament at Bluffton High School.

Opening night games, on Friday, Nov. 20:

• 6 p.m. - Arlington vs. Allen East
• 15 minutes after first game - Bluffton vs. Cory-Rawson

Saturday, Nov. 21
• 6 p.m. - Consolation game
• 15 minutes after first game - Championship game

Kyle Cutnaw resigns as Bluffton HS football coach

Bluffton High School head football coach Kyle Cutnaw resigned his position Monday. Coach Cutnaw leaves the Pirate football program after just two seasons at the helm. 

Just weeks ago, Bluffton concluded a 7-3 season, the most single season wins in a decade.

Cutnaw cited personal, family reasons for his resignation. He went 10-10 in his two years as coach.

Bluffton will now look for a new head football coach, something a bit out of the ordinary for the usually stable program.  Cutnaw took the reigns following a 25-year run by Dennis Lee.
