In voting done by league coaches, junior Averey Rumer and sophomore Libby Schaadt have been named First Team Northwest Conference.  

Katie Prater was named Second Team all conference.  The attachment below lists all players named to the all conference team.

(PAULDING) - Bluffton’s softball team went on a terrific winning streak this season but the campaign came to an end at Paulding Friday evening.  The host Panthers were able to claw back from a 4-0 deficit to win the game 5-4.

(LIMA) - With a position secured at next week’s District Meet, senior tennis player Justin Haggard went to task locking down a sectional crown.  

Haggard easily got by Van Wert’s Michael Etter by a sore of 6-0, 6-2 putting him into the finals.  There he dropped a hard fought match to Shawnee’s Jackson Schaaf 7-6 (3), 6-1.

(LIMA) - Senior Justin Haggard entered the OHSAA Sectional Tournament as the top overall seed and he lived up to the billing in the early rounds of the tournament.

Haggard won his first two matches 6-0,6-0 and 6-1, 6-0 to secure a spot in the District Tournament next week. Justin will resume semifinal play Saturday in Lima against Van Wert’s Michael Etter. 

NWC meet results from Day 1

(SPENCERVILLE) - Bluffton’s track teams got off to a strong start at the Northwest Conference Championships held at Spencerville.  A few final events took place Thursday with the remainder of the finals on Saturday.  The meet was held in perfect conditions with sun, mid 70’s temperatures and a slight breeze.  

(PAULDING) - Bluffton’s baseball season came to a close Wednesday evening with an 8-5 tournament loss at Paulding. The Pirates finish the season at 3-15. Seniors on the team are Dakota Bricker, Braeden Edwards, Brice Rayle, Cole Fruchey, Brady Romick, Kaden Reneker, Brayton Businger and Aaron Belcher.  

Bluffton staked starting pitcher Kaden Reneker to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning but the Panthers got one back in the bottom half of the inning and took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Four more runs in the fifth out the game out of reach.
