A combined Sunday morning worship and Christmas Eve service will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
There will be no Christian Education classes that morning. Everyone is welcome to attend the special service, which will include carol singing, the story of the first Christmas, and music by St. John’s UCC choir.
A nursery for children will be provided. The church is located at the corner of College Avenue and Jackson Streets, Bluffton.

Bluffton school board will consider on some year-end actions at its Monday night school board meeting.
Among action to be consider is approval of:
• a bus bid from Cardinal Bus Sales
• Nancy Yeager to a 7-year term on the Bluffton Public Library board
• several board policies ranging from non-discrimination on the basis of sexual harassment to truancy
• 2018-19 open enrollment policy
The board will also act on approval of a high school biology field trip to Florida Keys June 4 to June 12, 2018.

FROM ADA ICON - Vancrest Administrator and Bluffton resident Randy Cox will retire at the end of the year to enjoy life with his family and do more traveling and golfing. He might be considered young to retire (58) and looks even younger, but has been in the nursing home business for 37 years.
Randy spent a year deciding on staff and purchasing furniture and equipment for the nursing home in Ada prior to its opening.
