It's senior night for BHS - 4:30 p.m., says Coach Hilty

BREAKING NEWS from Bluffton High School boys' tennis coach Mike Hilty:

Smores for anybody who stops by for Senior tennis night, Monday vs Lima Senior at Howe Tennis Courts, East College Avenue. Match starts at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Pirate softball team is warming up just like the weather.  Bluffton defeated perennial power Lima Bath Friday evening by an 8-2 score.  

Averey Rumer had a big night with two hits, two stolen bases and three runs.  Mara Minnig had two hits of her own with an RBI.  Libby Schaadt and Katie Prater both belted doubles.  Kayla White, Bailey Edwards and Laykin Garmatter pounded out hits as well. 

Esther Emmert’s first grade class during the 1971-72 school year. This is the BHS class of  1983.

The Icon spotted TOY4TWO on a turquoise Corvette last week on Main Street Bluffton.

R COOP is open this weekend, according to Jane Shaw. This weekend's hours are Friday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shaw says, "We have great items to put in and outside your home to enjoy. There's a variety of succulent gardens, farmstead and vintage items.

That's Teddy and Oreo leading the pack with Pearl close behind. Saturday morning's dog walk was the first-ever canine event in this year's Bluffton Relay for Hope, cancer fundraiser. The dogs and their owners walked from Maple Crest to Mennonite Home and then returned to Maple Crest. Lynda Best planned the event.
