Elementary teacher, Jane Steinmetz, will retire at end of school year

Bluffton school board will act upon the resignation of Jane Steinmetz, academic intervention teacher at the elementary school, during its April meeting on Monday.

In addition the board will act on 10 certified contracts for the 2018-19 school year.

Other contacts on the agenda include four extended service contracts, nearly 30 supplemental contracts and one classified service contracts.

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Ohio Wesleyan University to participate in the All-Ohio Championship on Saturday, April 14. A pair of former high school teammates stole the show for the Beavers.

Bluffton University will hold its annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest at 6:30 p.m. on April 11 in Yoder Recital Hall. 

Students selected to participate will prepare an oration, no more than ten minutes in length, that applies a peace-church perspective to an issue of contemporary concern.

(PAULDING) - Bluffton struck first but Paulding was able to pull away for an 11-1 victory in five innings Thursday afternoon.  Brady Romick scored in the top of the first inning giving Bluffton a 1-0 lead but Paulding responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame. 

Dakota Bricker led Bluffton with a 2/2 effort at the plate.  Kaden Reneker, Romick, Brice Rayle and Malachi Pahl all picked up hits for the Pirates.
