Summer camp, kid’s night out, elementary volleyball and junior high basketball programs are on Bluffton Family Recreation’s spring and summer calendar, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Summer camp returns to Bluffton Family Recreation this summer, Registration is underway on the BFR website.
The program, for 5 to 12-year-olds, will begin on Tuesday, May 29 (no camp on Monday, May 28 Memorial Day).
The 2017 annual child fatality review report was released today by the Allen County Board of Health.
The Child Fatality Review (CFR) Reports include the causes of death, age, sex, race, location and other pertinent information about the deaths.

The CFR Board’s recommendations resulting from the reviewed deaths are also included in the reports. Generation of the annual reports allows for the recognition of potential trends that may be occurring.
Music major Brianna Keith, of Grafton, Ohio, will present her Bluffton University senior recital at 2:30 p.m.Saturday, April 14, in Yoder Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the lobby.
Keith’s program features music for flute including: “Concerto pour Flute et Orchestra” by Jacques Ibert, “Partita BWV 1013” by J.S. Bach, “Concerto No. 7 in E minor for Flute and Piano,” by Francois Devienne and “Fantaisie Brillante” on themes from Bizet’s “Carmen” by Francois Borne.
Bluffton University will present the musical comedy “[title of show]” for the May Day musical on May 4 and 5.
“[title of show]” has music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Hunter Bell. This delightful contemporary show is an original musical about writing an original musical. Premiering in the 2004 Musical Theatre Festival in NYC, and documenting its own process of creation, this small-cast show addresses themes of creative collaboration, self-doubt and the journey of following your dreams.
