Steven “Bear” D. Leiber, 51 of Bluffton died March 27, 2018 at VanCrest of Ada.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

The Bluffton and Ada Icons invite viewers to enter The Icon Final 4 contest. The contest asks contestants to pick the winner of this weekend’s NCAA men’s Division I national tournament.

The winner will be chosen by who picked the national champion between the four remaining basketball teams including Loyola (Chicago), Michigan, Villanova and Kansas.

BFR offers several activy classes for youth

Several classes for youth are on-going this spring at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director. Here's the list:

Before we allow Easter egg hunts and dying to get too far in the past, here's one final photo for consideration. It's Haddy Glick, daughter of David and Mark Glick. Haddy, a student at Bluffton Community Pre-school, was among 3-and-4-year olds dying eggs last week at Mennonite Home.

Good Friday procession of the Cross, plus many Easter services

Bluffton congregations have several special services planned for Easter week. In addition, the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association’s Good Friday Procession of the Cross takes place.

13-page document anticipated expenses and income for Bluffton

Bluffton council passed its 2018 appropriations on Monday. They now go to the Allen County Commissioners.

The appropriations, part of the village budget process, list estimated general fund income at $2,962,386. It lists estimated general fund expenses at $4,029,886.  A carry-over from 2017 should make up the different between these two line items.

The 13-appropriations lists every anticipated expense in the village in 2018.
