SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball team would hit the road to face off against the Wittenberg University Tigers on a breezy Sunday, March 25. The Beavers used some late-game heroics to secure the daily sweep, improving to 11-6 on the season.

Joe Sehlhorst, Bluffton council member and cultural affairs committe representative, announced that Christmas in Bluffton is officially over.
Here's portion of an e-mail message from Sehlhorst concerning the removal of the LED lights on the large evergreen tree in the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn in mid-March.
"Special thanks goes out to all that helped with the removal of the LED lights on the big Evergreen this past Saturday. Jeff Stratton and Dan Snyder organized finding manpower to get this task done.
A building permit filed with the village by Grob Industries shows that a $10 million new building is going up at Grob this spring.
That permit was the largest of 14 building permits filed in the first three months of 2018.
So far this year, $11,313,309 in new construction is underway in the village. Of that figure, approximately $1 million is in residential construction.

Prepare to dance along in your seat during Bluffton University’s Gospel Choir and Jazz Ensemble concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships.
Under the direction of Dr. Crystal Sellers-Battle, the Gospel Choir’s program will remember the life of composer Edwin Hawkins, who passed away in January, by singing his most famous song “Oh Happy Day.” A rhythm section led by Wesley Sellers of Columbus will accompany the group.
